I
don’t know how to express my feelings of one week NYJC experience. That’s such a fantastic trip for us to go to Junior College to get
familiar with local students’ life and the education system in Singapore. When we
go to university, we have to make friends with many new friends and most of
them will be Singaporeans. In my opinion, to understand their experience is the
best way to make friends, so I’m really appreciate for having this chance to go
to NYJC.
I didn't realize life in JC is so different from Senior High School in China. They
have to go to different classrooms to take different class just like what we do
in NTU, but in China, we can stay in the same classroom, have our own sits, we
just need to wait teachers to come. In addition, Chinese students have to take
every compulsory subject to prepare for Gaokao. We have to take much pressures
because no matter the subject we are interesting or not, we must try our best
to get good grades. In contrast, Singaporeans can choose subjects they like. However,
their classes are really fast and have to pay more efforts after classes. I have
no idea which education system is better because they both have some advantages
and disadvantages. So just enjoy ourselves in our study and life.
